The book with the revelations of the younger son of the British heir to the throne is expected to be published at the end of next year.
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has instructed her aides to draw up a lawsuit plan in case the statements of her grandson Prince Harry or his American wife Megan Markle are considered defamation, the Sun newspaper writes.
The British tabloid, in turn, cites an unnamed source from Buckingham Palace, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
“The feeling at the very top (of the royal family) is that everything has its limits. Her Majesty is angry about the constant attacks. Harry and Megan will be informed that repeated attacks will no longer be tolerated,” the source said.
He said “a team of lawyers from the royal family is consulting with companies specializing in defamation and confidentiality. The focus is on the memoirs that Prince Harry has begun work on, according to reports last month.
The younger son of the British heir to the throne, Prince Charles, promised for the first time to tell in detail about his “experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons that have shaped him as a person.” The book should be published at the end of 2022. from the American publishing house “Penguin Random House”.
“If someone is mentioned in the book and is directly accused of something, it can be considered defamation and violation of the right to privacy,” the source said, adding that a warning could also be sent to the publisher.
The Sun notes that Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the publication.
