Could not land
On Tuesday, the trip went back to Windsor from the castle in Scotland.
But the flight did not go as planned at all.
The queen’s private plane did not manage to land, and therefore had to circulate in the air until the storm had subsided.
This has never happened before
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the plane had to cancel the landing due to lightning and thunder. They have also stated that there was never a question of the queen’s safety during the dramatic flight.
The queen and her entourage had to circulate for 15 minutes before the pilot managed to land the plane.

Big anniversary celebration
The 70th anniversary celebration starts already on Thursday with the traditional military ceremony “Trooping the Color”, where more than 1500 people and 350 horses from the royal household troops participate.
Shares health update about the queen
It is common for the queen to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with members of the royal family for a solemn air show, but it has not yet been confirmed whether this will happen this year.
