On Wednesday it was announced that the 95-year-old queen wanted to be personally present at the church service with about 1,500 invited guests. It would be her first appearance since she has to rest on doctor’s advice. In October she spent one night in the hospital. The reason for this remained vague, but she has been rarely seen in public since then. The palace has not given any reason for the changed plans.
A month ago, the British queen also tested positive for the corona virus. She had a mild cold, but seemed to have recovered. On Monday, she met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
According to the Buckingham Palace report, the Queen will resume her activities at a later date. There will be no changes to her further plans in the coming weeks. The Queen is expected to attend a memorial service for her late husband Prince Philip at the end of March.
Royalty watchers wonder if Prince Andrew will also make an appearance there. The scandal prince has reached a settlement in the sexual abuse charge of alleged Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre. Prince Harry who will not appear at the end of March is Prince Harry. He has been at odds with his family since moving to Los Angeles with his wife Meghan Markle.
