Quebec Government Announces $10.1 Million Investment in Novatech Group for Automation and Job Creation

The Government of Quebec has announced financial assistance of $10.1 million to a Julievilloise company.

During a press conference, Christopher Skeete, Minister of the Economy, Minister for the Fight against Racism and Minister responsible for the Laval region, the MNA for Verchères, Minister of Families and Minister responsible for Montérégie, Suzanne Roy, and Harold Savard, president and general manager of the Novatech Group, announced an investment of $10.1 million in the company to automate some of its activities in order to increase its productivity and its exports. In addition, this automation will make it possible to address, in part, the problem of the labor shortage in the company. The project is valued at over $46.5 million.

“This assistance is essential to Novatech and also to the Quebec economy. – Harold Savard

“In a context where the labor shortage continues to be a major issue for our manufacturing companies, investments in automation are becoming essential. The Novatech Group has fully understood this, and we are delighted to give it the necessary boost to proceed with the modernization of its facilities,” said Mr. Skeete. “The Novatech Group is a leader in its field, and its growth projects will generate significant benefits for the Montérégie region. It is a source of pride to support this company in order to enable it to innovate further by integrating artificial intelligence into its manufacturing processes,” added Ms. Roy.

“This assistance is essential to Novatech and also to the Quebec economy. We are always aiming for growth and to do so, we must invest. In addition, thanks to this investment, more than 75 jobs will be created in the province,” explains Harold Savard.
