Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to choosing a computer case. Some people choose appearance, some consider expansion, some struggle with heat dissipation, some care about space, and some care about volume. Is there no way to do it? Satisfied once?
QUBE 500, the newly launched chassis of Kuma Technology, brings a different novelty to the mid-tower size chassis while meeting the different needs of players for the chassis. The QUBE 500 chassis is flat-packed and fully removable, and the modular panel design simplifies installation and process, making it easier to maintain in the future.
This time, in addition to the common black and white QUBE 500, there is also a limited edition macaron color QUBE 500 with mint green, pink, and cream color plaques. We will open it for you to see at once!

The QUBE 500 case is really full of ingenuity in design. Before I met this guy, I never thought that the case could be used like this? First of all, it is the concept of Lego assembly. Through the combination of flat design components, it adopts a fully modular design, providing a vertical graphics card bracket and a super Q macaron-colored perforated board. You can easily install creative accessories to store the peripherals. And it’s only over two thousand yuan, isn’t it worth buying?
The packaging box of the case is very different. It feels like taking apart a Japanese-made ceiling-mounted LED lamp. Because the components are all flat design, it is very different from the traditional impression of case packaging! The interior is stacked layer by layer, reducing the volume and packaging materials by 45%. Each layer has corresponding installation steps. You can scan the QR code on the carton first and assemble it in order to avoid confusion.
The first layer is mainly the motherboard tray and the graphics card upright adapter rack. The second layer is the front panel and the rear back panel. The third layer is the front trim panel and the bottom trim panel. The fourth layer is the side back panels and bottom floor mats. The layer is glass transparent side panel. If it is the macaron color version of QUBE 500, there will be an extra layer of decorative panel covers in different colors.
The DIY assembly after disassembly is quite simple. In fact, it is just to assemble the six sides of the casing. The baffles of each component are modular in design, and the joints are fixed with tenons and screws. The stability is actually quite good. You can disassemble and refill it separately in the future. This has a big advantage. After a while, it can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance when it gets dirty. This is much better than traditional casings.
On the motherboard tray, the upper right corner is the default power supply installation location.
First, fix the motherboard tray and the rear backplane (with the fan and interface card baffle area). The power supply is placed near the front panel and is stuck on the motherboard tray through the adapter bracket. Three levels of height adjustment. The placement of the power supply will affect the compatibility between the top water cooling radiator and the graphics card.
Then install the front panel and bottom panel, and then install the four corner pads at the bottom. They are also fixed with tenons and screws. It is not difficult to operate.
Then you can install the top panel, glass side panels and back panel, and the chassis is now ready! If you want to install a fan or water cooling radiator on the top panel of the case, you can first fix it on the top panel separately and then install it on the case. Similarly, when installing components on the front panel or motherboard area, you can also remove the panel separately to install the machine. The “hands” are more generous and flexible.
Although the QUBE 500 case is not particularly large, its capacity is not small at all, whether it is the E-ATX motherboard, which is currently the largest consumer model, a power supply with a length of 173mm, or a high-end graphics card with a length exceeding 360mm. , 172mm high CPU cooling fan, or even 280mm water cooling, the QUBE 500 can fit in easily.
The case has a built-in white 120mm SF ARGB PWM fan with a maximum speed of 1800 rpm. In the case of a front power supply, a 120mm fan can also be installed on the front panel. In addition, almost all of the case has openings and filters. Network, there is basically no need to worry about temperature or air volume issues.

Now that we are talking about graphics cards, Kuma knows that many people like to install graphics cards vertically. In addition to looking good, it will also provide more flexibility in air duct design. QUBE 500 provides a vertical graphics card mounting bracket, which can also be flexibly adjusted in height to facilitate everyone to find the best air flow direction! In addition, the radiator bracket on the side of the case leaves extra space for installing a set of 280mm radiators, so you don’t have to worry about heat dissipation!
Carefully counting the number of expansions, QUBE 500 can support a total of 7 sets of PCI expansion slots, 4 sets of 3.5-inch devices, and 3 sets of 2.5-inch devices. The expansion capability is quite good for a mid-tower chassis.
The radiator/fan bracket, as shown in the picture, can install a 280mm radiator at the top, and move it downward to install a fan to help air inlet and dissipate heat in the graphics card area.
The length of the graphics card is supported up to 365mm, but the length of the power supply must not exceed 17mm to avoid conflict with the graphics card. If the length of the graphics card does not exceed 275mm, the length of the power supply can be installed up to 216mm. You can also choose to install the power supply The supply is mounted on the floor so that a 280mm water cooling radiator can be installed in the front.
The top, bottom, front and back of QUBE 500 are all pre-installed with dust screens, which can be removed and cleaned individually.
The center of the front I/O panel is the power button, and provides two sets of USB 3.2 Type A and one Type C, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
But the most interesting thing about this one is probably the perforated board ~ Everyone should be familiar with the concept of perforated board. Nowadays, many people often use it on the walls of their rooms. By installing hooks and shelves, the storage can be expanded. If you want to install Anything can be changed at any time, and it can be expanded by itself.
The same goes for the QUBE 500 case. It comes with a Gem mini, a handle, two accessory hooks and other accessories. It can be installed freely according to your preferred position. You can place a keyboard, headphones, or rocker. The perforated plate on the body combines heat dissipation and Flexible configuration, so you can store it however you want. Kuma even provides DIY 3D printable files, so you can make whatever you want!
Put the joystick ok! It’s no problem to put headphones~ If the distance is increased, it’s OK to put a keyboard~
Summarize
QUBE 500 This case provides more flexibility and room for imagination within a size acceptable to most users. Although the configuration only supports up to 280mm water cooling, the perforated plate cover concept design makes the heat dissipation efficiency of the whole machine very good. It can install large graphics cards, power supplies, and storage device expansion capabilities. When simply using the motherboard tray, it can become The bare test stand allows players to enjoy the fun of DIY computer assembly without having to worry about the process.
I know that you may not feel the interesting aspects of this machine just by looking at the photos and text. Why not take a look at the installation video shot by Kuma? This thing can be said to be one of the most creative cases in 2023!Assembly instruction video
