Quartet for the end of time and still music. Guests of the Trio Palladio concert will be Kiev Soloists / Day

Trio Palladio pianist Reinis Zariņš, violinist Eva Bindere and cellist Kristīne Blaumane play. This time they will be joined by Anton Dresler, a clarinetist and passionate chamber musician who is actively performing in Europe and has been described by the foreign press as a “fascinatingly sensitive musician”. They will be played by French composer Olivier Messiah Quartet to the end of time.

The peculiar world of sounds of the religious music mystic Olivier Messian served as a refuge from the horrors of reality. Quartet to the end of time was made during World War II while the composer was imprisoned in a German prisoner of war camp. War and mortality reigned around the time, but the piece tells the story of the afterlife and focuses on topics such as the end of time promised in the book of Revelation and the immortality of Jesus. The opus is permeated by silent transcendence, the light of angels, the love of Jesus, and the rendition of birdsong.

The chamber orchestra will also perform at this concert kijivas solistiwhich will fulfill the opus of the modern Ukrainian classic Valentin Silvestrov Quiet music.

At the beginning of 2022 kijivas solisti went on a European tour, and on February 24, while in Italy, received news of the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. After the start of the war, the musicians could no longer return home. In cooperation with leading European concert organizations Kiev soloist the tour was extended indefinitely.

The chamber orchestra is currently performing in the Nordic countries, after which it will give five concerts in Lithuania, three concerts in Latvia (Riga, Jurmala and Cesis) and several concerts in Estonia.
