It is around 8 p.m. Sunday evening, when several shots ring out near rue du Village, not far from the Grand’Place. It is a trader of the entity who opened fire on young people. Young drivers who were driving at full speed around a small roundabout and hit a stroller.
The shoemaker wanted to help, but was bullied by the young people. Thrown to the ground and beaten up, the man managed to escape and take refuge in his home, before leaving with a weapon.
Several witnesses heard gunshots. One of the young drivers was hit in the shin and had to be taken to the Epicura center in Hornu. Contacted by the Province, the bourgmestre of Quaregnon confirmed the altercation and the injured. He adds that his days are not in danger.
Many residents of the village wonder what could have pushed the trader to shoot the perpetrators. The latter was to be heard by the police last night.
