The Peruvian Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that 4,358 infections were registered in the last day, so the total amount is 191,758, placing the country as the eighth with the most cases in the world, surpassing France, EFE reported.

In addition, the authorities reported 5,301 deaths since the start of the outbreak in the country, on March 6.

Peru has accelerated its report of infections, partly due to the large number of tests it is conducting, so it is expected to reach 200,000 in a few days.
–
Minsa explained that so far 1,173,003 tests have been carried out to detect the disease, between rapid and molecular, 18,535 in the last hours.
