Quarantine of Overseas Travelers Cut to 3 Days! These are the conditions

Jakarta

In the midst of the current outbreak of the Omicron variant, the government has reduced the duration of quarantine days for foreign travelers (PPLN) who have just arrived in Indonesia to three days.

This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan. He emphasized that the three-day quarantine was only for PPLN, both foreigners and Indonesian citizens who had received the COVID-19 booster vaccine or advanced doses.

“PPLN, both foreigners and Indonesian citizens, who have carried out a booster quarantine period can be reduced to three days on condition that they continue to carry out PCR entry and exit tests,” he said in a virtual press conference related to PPKM, Monday (14/2/2022).

“Exit PCR is carried out on the third day in the morning and PPLN can come out when negative results come out,” added Luhut.

Luhut added that PPLN who had completed three days of quarantine and came out with a negative PCR test result needed to return to do the PCR test on the fifth day since arrival. Then, PPLN is asked to report health conditions to the nearest health service facility.

“PPLNs who have been out of quarantine are advised to continue to carry out self-test PCR on the fifth day and report their health conditions to the nearest Puskesmas or Health Facilities,” concluded Luhut.
