With the beginning of summer, June 1, in Israel, the government lifted all internal quarantine restrictions imposed in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. Only the mask mode was left active.
Separately, there will be an external ban on the departure of its citizens to countries with the maximum risk of the spread of COVID-19. Radio reports CAN.
The Israeli Ministry of Health notes that after the abolition of quarantine, there will no longer be restrictions on the number of people indoors and outdoors.
Also, there is no need to have “COVID passports” to visit restaurants, gyms or cultural events. There will be no division in the country on the “green” (for fully vaccinated) and “purple” standard (for the rest of the population). From now on, vaccinated citizens can freely stay in the room with those who have not yet received the vaccine.
At the same time, it is emphasized that the decision on the mandatory wearing of protective masks in enclosed spaces remains in force and will remain in effect until the cancellation is announced separately. Although the government has promised to revise the rule in nine days, its cancellation, in any case, will occur in stages.
Despite the lifting of most internal restrictions, the ban on Israelis traveling to countries with the maximum risk of the spread of coronavirus will continue to apply.
Air traffic in Israel also remains limited with ten countries, in particular with Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico, Turkey, Russia and Argentina.
