Quarantine has been introduced in the Limbaži municipality social care center-boarding house “Pērle”, Aija Kamala, a public relations specialist of Limbaži municipality, informed LETA.
This decision was made taking into account the fact that the number of people with Covid-19 has rapidly increased in Limbaži municipality.
In order to take care of the health of the persons placed in the nursing home and the employees working there, quarantine has been introduced in the Social Care Center – in the nursing home “Pērle” from this week. Consequently, the visit of the nursing home to third parties is limited, Kamala said.
Meanwhile, a new case of Covid-19 has been detected at Limbaži State Gymnasium, where one 3rd grade student has fallen ill, Aija Kamala, a public relations specialist of Limbaži municipality, informed LETA.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (SPKC) has identified all students in the class and the subject teacher in that class as contact persons for quarantine. For this reason, until November 29, studies for the specific class of Limbaži State Gymnasium are organized remotely.
As reported, the first case of the disease was detected at Limbaži State Gymnasium already in the middle of November, when one 5th grade student and one teacher who taught 6th grade students fell ill with Covid-19.
According to SPKC data, 68 people have contracted Covid-19 in Limbaži municipality in the last two weeks.
