According to the sanitary supervision authority, the infected man visited the club on June 21, and four days later received a positive test for SARS-CoV-2. Five other club guests have been infected since then.
Nightclubs in Switzerland have resumed operations since the beginning of June, but are required to register all their guests. Sanitary authorities have said that if further massive infections occur, it will be necessary to consider the possibility of closing clubs again.
The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Switzerland per day increased this week from 18 on Monday to 69 on Saturday, the highest figure since May 4. In total, 31,555 people were diagnosed with infection, of whom 1962 died.
