In busy places it is no longer necessary to wear a mouth cap. No one needs to be quarantined anymore after contact with someone who has corona. This advises Jaap van Dissel of the RIVM to Minister Kuipers of Public Health.
People with corona must stay at home and in isolation. RIVM wants this rule to remain in place. According to Van Dissel, it is still too early to delete this advice, because the number of corona infections is still too high.
Shopping district
RIVM thinks that wearing a face mask in a busy crowd is no longer necessary. In busy places such as a market or a shopping street, there are fleeting contacts and the risk of contamination is therefore not so great. The RIVM notes that many Dutch people do not comply with the current advice.
RIVM emphasizes that people with vulnerable health should wear a mouth cap for self-protection.
