XX Network Launches Secure Messenger Quantum-safe app ensures protected communication
The decentralized platform XX Network, which focuses on the privacy of its users, is expanding its range with a private messaging app. The “xx messenger” uses quantum-resistant cryptography to protect the content of messages from decryption.
The app, available for Android and iOS, enables users to communicate across hundreds of decentralized and globally operating nodes. It offers group chats as well as photo and audio sharing. According to the provider, the app has been optimized for ease of use and switching from older messaging apps.
the xx messenger relies on quantum-resistant cryptography to protect message content from decryption. In addition, cMix software is used to obfuscate or shred metadata. Randomly selected groups of XX nodes encrypt anonymous batches of 1,000 messages each, which are then repeatedly shuffled and also encrypted using quantum-resistant cryptography. Information that connects the sender and recipient is destroyed. Third parties are no longer able to find out sensitive details about the patterns and structure of other people’s everyday lives.
enhance privacy
With the xx messenger, XX Network is committed to strengthening fundamental rights in the age of Web3. In contrast to centralized providers, user privacy is fully protected. In addition, the app runs on the in-house decentralized blockchain, which currently has more than 350 independent nodes in more than 80 countries. Through the use of Smart Contracts, the xx messenger works completely autonomously.
“Increasing concerns about privacy over the past two or three years have raised public awareness of issues with centralized control, primarily Facebook,” said David Chaum, founder of XX Network. Many people would have realized that their information is misused and used by companies to maximize profits. Now they would try to understand how to protect themselves using cryptography and smartphones. “xx messenger decentralizes private communications in the same way bitcoin decentralized finance. Let’s do it right: Let’s take back control of our own information and destiny,” Chaum said.
