The Government presents 24 proposals for educational reform to improve the teaching profession. Certainly, education needs a transformation. Teachers involved and with a vocation. Prepared in psychopedagogy, emotion management and conflict resolution, from respect, empathy and resilience. An education in values where happiness and mental health prevail. I wonder if we have become entrenched in methodologies in which we destroy self-esteem. We need to create a curiosity that motivates learning. As a teacher, after carrying out a mobility to Finland through the Erasmus project, and analyzing the educational system ‘in situ’, I can see that this system may be the solution for a quality public school. And that lies in greater autonomy in the management team with the ability to hire teachers. That contracting responsibility would give stability to the faculty. The school would be formed with teachers that show involvement and continuous training in innovative methodologies that consolidate the center’s projects. Contracts would be carried out with a public inspection that would avoid nepotism.
