PORTIMAO – Monster Energy Yamaha Team racer, Fabio Quartararo, making sure to start the race from the pole position at MotoGP Portugal 2021. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez will start his inaugural race after a long absence from sixth.

Shown at the Algarve Circuit, Portimao, Portugal, Saturday (17/4/2021) evening WIB, actually the Ducati Lenovo Team racer, Francesco Bagnaia, recorded the fastest time in the qualifying session. However, he failed to secure the pole position because his time record was written off.

This happened because Francesco Bagnaia ignored the yellow flag raised by the marshal after Miguel Oliveira had an accident. Supposedly, Bagnaia and other riders slowed down the motorbike when the flag was flying. However, he did not do so and so his time records were written off.
