JAKARTA – Qualcomm never stop in presenting the fastest processor. The company from the United States is reportedly developing the latest chipset.
Processed from Gizmochina, Monday (11/7/2022), the chipset in question is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which presents a significant improvement compared to its predecessor.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is predicted to not only improve the performance side, but also optimize power consumption, heat dissipation, and economical battery life.
According to the Twitter account @UniverseIce, which is a well-known gadget leaker, several major manufacturers have already tested the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
From the test results so far, these brands are very satisfied with their performance.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s power efficiency is said to be 15% better than Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will be released at the end of 2022 by adopting the new “1+2+2+3” core architecture design.
Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 888+, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 seem to have failed to meet market expectations. This processor is even nicknamed the “Fire Dragon” because of its hot temperature.
Because of this problem, cooling technology in smartphones continues to develop rapidly.
If Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 succeeds in providing a solution to that problem, we can be sure the processor will be the best at this time.
