Quadriplate Relocates to New Building in Sablé-sur-Sarthe

Lack of space

The company, specialized in insulation and interior designwas until then installed rue de la Briqueteriebut suffered from lack of space.

The company was founded in 2000 in Brissarthein the Maine-et-Loirenext to Durtal.

Joel GaudinMathieu’s father, joined forces with his brother-in-law, Patrick Charpentier, to launch Qualiplate.

They started as two people, then there was one hire per year for ten years.

She counts today 14 employees.

“I was immersed in the profession”

The two men ended their collaboration in 2008.

My father moved the headquarters to Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe and created a workshop in Précigné.

In 2017, he decided to set up his business in Sablé, rue de la Briqueterie. A year later, Mathieu Gaudin joined Qualiplaque.

As a child, he was “bathed in the profession”. “I worked in the company during the holidays,” he remembers.

He takes another path by following a site manager training.

I worked for eight years in an architecture firm in Angers.

As his father’s retirement approached, the question arose question of succession. “I suggested that he take over, not out of obligation, but out of choice,” explains Mathieu Gaudin.

“We doubled our surface area”

The handover went smoothly. Two years later, in June 2021, Joel Gaudin was going into retirement.

The building on rue de la Briqueterie, rented by the company, was becoming too small.

We approached Pierre-Marie Gourhand (editor’s note – the head of the Economic Mission of the CDC du Pays Sabolien) to reserve land.

It will be in the Seguinières 2 zone. “After the purchase, the building permit was filed in July 2022 and work started in January 2023.”

Once the building is complete, it’s time to move. The business manager is delighted. ” We have doubled our building surface area. We go from 180 to 400 m²« .

“We are not worried”

A move in a favorable context. The business is doing well.

We offer both plastering, attic conversion and interior and exterior carpentry. These are two complementary activities.

The company works both with individualsof the companies and communities. “We have had very good activity for three to four years. We feel a slight drop today, but we are not worried. »

With the reduction in aid for energy renovation, individuals “are slowing down, but the professional side and public markets are catching up”.
