An intervention by the fire brigade has been underway since 4:30 p.m., in the town of DRAGUIGNAN, at the level of the Malmont road, Pas du Loup path, for a quad accident.
2 men around 40 years old who were riding a quad fell about 20 meters below the road, for an undetermined reason. The 2 seriously injured men were brought up from the ravine towards the road by the team of firefighters specialized in rescue in perilous environments, then transported by medical helicopter by the Civil Security helicopter DRAGON 06 (34-year-old man) to a hospital in Nice, and by SAMU 83 helicopter (42-year-old man) to a hospital in the Toulon area.
Seriously injured, they are being taken care of by the firefighters with:
– 2 ambulances,
– 1 team of rescue specialists in hazardous environments and the DRAGUIGNAN SMUR, under the direction of a group leader, ie 14 personnel.
The Civil Security helicopter (DRAGON 06) is engaged with 1 medical team and 1 firefighter on board.
