Faced with recruitment difficulties, the Parisian SME Qilibri decided to be smart and move to settle in a dynamic employment pool. “We thought of Barcelona, Reims… but it was finally in Rouen that we settled in December”, introduces Bastien Moreau, leader of Qilibri.
It is however in Paris, that the company was created 4 years ago, under the impetus of Bastien Moreau and his partner Antoine Chabassol. While 50% of French people are overweight, the two entrepreneurs intend to offer a “turnkey” food rebalancing program with lasting effects. Each month, their 2,000 customers receive 100,000 ready-to-eat meals, breakfasts and snacks by post.
Difficult recruitments
“We have chosen to do little marketing but rather to focus on customer experience and satisfaction” continues the co-founder. Call for qualified dieticians, dishes made in France, tested recipes, personalized assessment, sports support… Qilibri wants to support its customers in a global way. A vision that pleases since the SME won the competition for innovative brands « Elected product of the year 2023 ».
Specificity, if half of the customers order directly via the site, the other half exchanged, beforehand, with the dedicated sales team. “There is a real attachment to human exchanges. We therefore quickly realized that our development implied, at the same time, a significant growth in the number of sales representatives”.However, in the Paris region, such profiles are rare and the debauchery of employees common. Tired of seeing his best recruits leave, Qilibri has therefore decided to look elsewhere, where the grass is greener and the competition less tough: in Rouen.
A decisive welcome
A choice that fully satisfies the entrepreneur. It must be said that the setting of 107, on the quays of Rouen’s left bank, is more than attractive. “The possibilities of premises are numerous, the prices are five times cheaper than in the capital and we have a pool of candidates that meets our needs, all the conditions are met for us to develop here” rejoices Bastien Moreau. Added to this is the proximity to Paris which facilitates meetings with the Parisian team. Seventeen employees are currently working in the prefecture of Seine-Maritime and three colleagues will join them in a few days. “We are considering 5 to 10 additional recruitments before the end of the year”, says the manager.
What convinced the start-up, which has around forty employees, to put down its suitcases in Seine-Maritime, is the welcome it received from the first contacts. “Rouen Normandy Invest explained to us, from the start, how the city worked. The development agency also put us in contact with local companies with the same profile as us and schools in the area”. Pôle emploi also showed great care by orchestrating meetings with up to a hundred people over a day. So many attentions that have had their effect and could seduce other business leaders.
