Dr. Raji Tawadros, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena Governorate, announced today, Friday, the launch of the revitalization campaign for family planning and reproductive health in the governorate centers. With the aim of supporting and providing all family planning services to beneficiaries.
Qena Health Undersecretary explained that the campaign will take place in two phases with the aim of covering all centers and providing services to villages and hamlets.
While the second phase will start in the centers (Farshout, Nagaa Hammadi, Deshna, Qus, Naqada) during the period from March 4 to March 8.
He added that the campaign will provide all methods of family planning, whether short-acting or long-acting, and the installation of the hormonal IUD. With the aim of increasing the rate of use of these means; This contributes to reducing population growth and creating a family community that enjoys integrated medical and family care.
Dr. Rania Al-Mashahour, Director of the Family Planning Department in the Directorate, explained that the Directorate has developed an integrated plan with the aim of making the campaign a success, which included intensive training for doctors, nurses, and rural women pioneers, as well as equipment in clinics; To receive the beneficiaries and spread the necessary awareness through the media and health culture team to raise awareness of the campaign and the need to benefit from it.
