Qatar won 1-0 against China in the competition 2023 Asian Cup which was held at the Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan, Qatar on Monday (22/1).
Qatar won narrowly thanks to a goal scored by Hassan Al Haydos in the 66th minute. This victory completes Qatar’s steps to advance in the group phase of the 2023 Asian Cup.
In this match, Qatar played with the status of definitely qualifying thanks to wins in the first two matches. However, Qatar continued to play well.
Apart from the Qatar vs China duel, Tajikistan vs Lebanon was also held simultaneously. In this match, Tajikistan won 2-1 over Lebanon, in a match at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Tajikistan was left behind by a goal scored by Bassel Jradi in the 47th minute. However, in the 56th minute, Lebanon lost a player after Kassem Al Zein was given a red card.
Tajikistan took advantage of this number of players through Parvizdzhon Umarbayev’s free kick which equalized in the 80th minute.
Tajikistan’s second goal was contributed by Nuriddin Khamrokulov’s header in the 92nd minute, giving Tajikistan a 2-1 win over Lebanon.
Thanks to those two goals. Tajikistan is certain to qualify for the round of 16 alongside Qatar.
