Doha: Preparations are complete to host the World Judo Championship. 679 male and female players from 99 countries will participate in the championship which will be held from 7th to 14th.
The Judo Championship will be held at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Atiya Arena. The official draw of the teams will be held on 6th at 2.00 pm. The event is hosted by the Qatar Olympic Committee in collaboration with the International Judo Federation. The prize money is 10 lakh Euros.
Media-Broadcasting Committee Chairman Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al Thani explained in a press conference that around 200 media workers from around the world will come to report the championship.
A secure venue with state-of-the-art sports facilities has been prepared for the championship.
The IJF Grand Slam, Continental Champions and the world’s top players will arrive in Doha.
Ticket price is 30 riyals per match. Meanwhile, admission is free for students and disabled persons.
