Qatar Marks World Immunization Week: ‘The Big Catch Up’

Doha: The Qatar Ministry of Health said that the World Immunization Week, which started on the 24th, will end on the 30th. Varacharan is organized to protect people of all ages from diseases and promote the use of vaccines.

This year’s World Immunization Week has been organized under the theme ‘The Big Catch Up’ of the World Health Organization (WHO). According to the latest estimates of the World Health Organization, the country has a high vaccination rate. Shortly after the WHO Program on Immunization (EPI) was launched in 1974, Qatar also started a national immunization program.

Qatar has been able to spread more tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, second dose of measles vaccine (MCV2), one-year-old rotavirus vaccine dose (RotaC) and hepatitis B vaccine than other countries.

The public and private health sector in Qatar is strengthening awareness with the aim of raising awareness among the public about the importance of vaccination, eliminating infectious diseases and increasing vaccination rates. Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) provides a wide range of immunizations.
