It’s no secret that Manchester United have been for sale for several months now. And it’s even less of a secret: if Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos seem interested in the takeover, this is also the case with Qatar and Prince Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. After making an offer of around 5.7 billion to the Glazers family, owners of the club, QSI has just made a new, larger offer.
According to information from Telegraph, Qatar has decided to make a new unexpected offer to buy Manchester United. An offer which arrives outside the official tender calendar and which, according to the English media, was made due to recent rumors which explained that Ineos’ offer was higher than that of Qatar. In this new offer, QSI still wants 100% of the club, but also undertakes to erase all existing debts of United and also to create a separate fund solely for the club and the community. This relates in particular to the renovation works of the training center and Old Trafford.
