In Qatar, it was decided to form a legislature of 45 members, 15 of which will be appointed by the emir.
In Qatar on Saturday, October 2, parliamentary elections are held for the first time in history, reports Reuters.
According to the results of the vote, thirty members of parliament will be elected, and the ruling emir will continue to appoint 15 more members of the Council, which will have legislative powers and approve the general state policy and budget.
In doing so, the Council does not influence the executive bodies that determine the defense, security, economic and investment policy for a small but wealthy gas producer that is banned by political parties.
Among 183 parliamentary candidates, 18 are women, elections are held in 30 districts of the country.
