Qatar 2022: Australia beat Peru on penalties, now it’s Costa Rica’s turn

L’Australia detaches the penultimate pass for Qatar 2022. The national team coached by Graham Arnold beat the Peru at the end of the penalty kicks. A game without great emotions, both in the first ninety minutes and in extra time. The Australians had started the series badly, with Martin Boyle getting high parrying the first throw from the spot by the Peruvian goalkeeper Pedro Gallese. To condemn Peru were the subsequent errors of Advincula (pole) and that of Valera in the last decisive penalty. Yup breaks therefore Peru’s dream of returning to the world championships for the second consecutive edition after those in Russia in 2018, a memorable event for the South American country, given that the previous participation dates back to 1982. The support of all the fans was worth nothing red and white who were able to follow the game from home thanks to the Peruvian government, which had called a day of National holiday to allow everyone to follow the match. For Australia it is instead the fifth consecutive participation at the world championships on the 6 total (1974, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018). Hrustic and companions go to complete the group B of the World Cup, composed of France outgoing champion, from Denmark and from Tunisia.
