The military police were informed about pyrotechnic materials left in the forest near the town of Płaska.
A woman picking mushrooms came across dangerous objects on Sunday (06/10) around noon.

For now, the police, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the abandonment of dangerous items. The military police were also notified about the case.
The Płaska commune is located near the Polish-Belarusian border. Balloons with contraband attached have already been found in the border forest. There is also an ongoing migration crisis. There are still attempts to illegally enter Poland on the Płaska section of the border. Couriers who transport illegal immigrants to the West are also detained in the area.
