In the Pyrénées-Orientales, several players in the health sector obtain state recognition by decree of the President of the Republic dated December 31, 2020, thus rewarding their public commitment.
This is the case of Hugues Aumaître, head of the infectious and tropical diseases department of the Perpignan hospital center, who was elevated to the rank of knight of the Legion of Honor on the proposal of Prime Minister Jean Castex “after 29 years of service “. Vincent Rouvet, former director general of the Perpignan hospital, who since July took the head of the first cross-border health establishment in Europe, namely the Puigcerdà hospital. With a 39-year career in the public health service, he was, on a proposal from the Minister of Solidarity and Health, promoted to the rank of knight of the national order of the Legion of Honor.
“A collective reward”
A distinction that also receives Guillaume Dubois, 49, departmental director of the delegation of the Regional Health Agency (ARS). In post since 2017 in the Pyrénées-Orientales, this state official will have had the heavy task of managing the most serious health crisis that the country has known in recent years. Contacted this Saturday, January 2, he confided his joy, while remaining focused on the months to come. “It is a great pride and an honor to receive this recognition in the company of other people, such as Hugues Aumaître and Vincent Rouvet.
