The United States had accused the North Korea to supply weapons to the Russia. This information was denied by Pyongyangthis Sunday, January 29, 2023. Kwon Jong Gundirector general of the North Korean Affairs Department, denied this “rumor created from scratch” while warning the USA that they would expose themselves to a “really undesirable result” if they continue to propagate it. The North Korean official went on to say that: “Trying to tarnish the image of (North Korea) by manufacturing something that does not exist is a serious provocation that can never be allowed and can only trigger a reaction”.
Wagner designated as a “criminal organization” by the United States
Note that over the past week, John Kirby, spokesman for the White House Security Council, had released several US intelligence images that he said show Russian train cars leaving North Korea. The latter were loaded with military equipment including rockets for the Russian private military company Wagner. It had pushed Washington to designate the companyYevgeny Prigojine like a “criminal organization”. As a reminder, Kwon Jong Gun’s remarks come several months after theUkraine decided to end its diplomatic relations with North Korea.
This decision was taken after diplomatic officials from the two Ukrainian separatist regions (Donetsk and Lugansk) claimed, with photo support, to have received the support of North Korean officials. “We view this decision as an attempt by Pyongyang to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a flagrant violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Charter of the United Nations and fundamental norms and principles international law… In response to such a hostile act, Ukraine declares a severance of diplomatic relations with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea [RPDC]. Political and economic contacts with the DPRK are not carried out, due to the international sanctions imposed on this country” said the spokesman of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
