PV Anwar Bankruptcy Case Press Conference: Anti-ban press conference; The collector advised filing a case against PV Anwar

A case has been filed against PV Anwar, who held a press conference against the police crackdown in Chelakkara. Thrissur District Collector Arjun Pandyan instructed the Election Officer to file a case. The action was taken due to a breach of the electoral code of conduct. It was found that PV Anwar has defied the directive and held a press conference despite being told not to hold a press conference.

PV Anwar had said that the police was stopping his press conference because of Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Anwar asked at the press conference why he was afraid of Pinarayi. The rule doesn’t say you shouldn’t venture today. Why stand against some resistance from Congress?

Slips are issued in colonies by putting money on the cover. Anwar also accused LDF of getting votes by pouring alcohol and money.

The maximum amount a candidate can spend in a by-election is Rs 40 lakh. But the three faces have spent Rs 36 crore in Chelakkara. No one will win in this constituency. They will go to court. Anwar also said that it depends on the amount spent by each party with a booth.

While the press conference was going on, the election officials told PV Anwar to stop. But Anwar argued with the officers. Then the officers returned after informing Anwar.
