The government’s “occupational health” roadmap sets out the priorities of the public authorities in terms of risk prevention for the next four years, within the framework of the 4th Occupational Health Plan (PST4). On December 14, Laurent Pietraszewski, Secretary of State in charge of pensions and occupational health, reviewed the content of this roadmap for the period 2021-2025. With a clear objective: to strengthen the prevention of accidents at work, and more especially those related to the risk of falls and the road.
The roadmap stresses the reinforced prevention of serious and fatal accidents at work, in particular targeting the most affected groups such as young people, temporary workers and posted workers.
Put an end to the risk of falls and the road risk
In addition, the public authorities want to make the fight against falls from heights and on the same level, and road risk, one of the major axes of prevention in the years to come. In fact, these two types of risk are at the origin of the greatest number of serious and fatal accidents.
As regards the risks of falls, as our report from Le Moniteur reports, it will be necessary “to improve knowledge of the risk on the basis of a more detailed and shared accident analysis”. Prevention efforts should focus on particularly exposed populations: rope access technicians, carpenters, roofers, etc.
For road risk, it is planned to strengthen everything that should make it possible to better understand this risk, in collaboration with organizations and professional branches, in order to identify the most exposed categories in order to target preventive actions.
