Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is using a secret electronic warfare system to wreak havoc in Europe, according to the publication “The Sun”.Security authorities are closely monitoring satellite navigation disturbances in the Baltic Sea region.

The weapon reportedly jams GPS technology for flights and ships across NATO’s eastern flank, causing serious disruption.

In Finland, the Baltic States and Poland, a rapid increase in air and sea traffic GPS control system malfunctions has been detected, the commander of the Estonian Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Martin Herem, told The Telegraph newspaper.

“We have observed GPS malfunctions for ships and air traffic,” he said.

“And we really don’t know if they [Krievija] want to achieve something or just practice and test their equipment.”

Estonia is the first of the NATO countries to make claims to the Kremlin about interference.

The electronic warfare system is said to be located in Kaliningrad, where Putin recently visited.

It is a Russian enclave sandwiched between Lithuania and Poland, which was annexed from Germany in 1945 and was a strategic point for the Soviet Union during the Cold War era.

Experts fear that in the event of a war against NATO, Putin could launch an attack from Kaliningrad.

According to Western intelligence reports, the stationary jamming system is called Tobol, which looks like a huge dish with an antenna.

Analysts have identified at least seven Tobol complexes in Russia.

The secret weapon transmits signals on the same frequency as the satellite, which prevents connected devices from receiving the legitimate signal, the Washington Post reports.

Defense and security think tank “Royal United Service Institute” researcher Dr. Thomas Whittington said the dish could be deflected to jam GPS signals in multiple directions, which could be critical to protecting Kaliningrad, as well as Russia, from potentially incoming missiles.

He claimed that the system is more of a defense system and is used as an “invisible” shield against NATO’s arsenal of satellite-guided missile systems.

“It may surprise some people, but I think it appears to be a defense system,” he told The Telegraph.

“Russian military is very concerned about global navigation satellite system weapons.”

However, the secret weapon is currently being used against commercial aircraft and naval vessels.

There have been recent reports of planes suddenly disappearing from tracking locations – most likely due to their GPS jamming.

Experts warned that this could cause serious damage to the shipping industry, as ships could collide because navigation systems would not be able to see each other.

dr. Whittington assesses the Russian actions as “very irresponsible”: “It affects the safety of navigation.”

The good news is that these disruptions pose no real threat to pilots and ship captains using the system, but have caused changes in flight schedules or even canceled flights.

This comes at a time when the possibility of World War III continues to rise following growing concerns about the escalation of regional wars.

There are fears that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine could lead to Russian troops moving beyond Ukraine’s borders to attack Europe, forcing NATO to join the war.

Since invading Ukraine nearly two years ago, Putin has repeatedly issued threats to the West.

And a recently leaked military report has revealed what could be the Kremlin leadership’s plan to bring the West step by step to the brink of World War 3, which will begin in just a few weeks.

The secret documents detail the despot’s possible “road to conflict”, which will culminate in the summer of 2025 on “X Day”, when half a million NATO and Russian soldiers will face each other.

To prevent potential threats from Moscow, the Baltic states have agreed to build a series of bunkers on their borders with Russia and Belarus to protect their forces in the event of an attack.
