Investigators note that although Putin’s Valdai residence is relatively often mentioned in the media, the Russian president is never removed there. It is assumed that this is his favorite, and therefore the most secret dacha.

It is noted that the southern part of the peninsula (100 hectares) between lakes Uzhin and Valdai belongs to Yuri Kovalchuk. Investigators call him “Putin’s main purse, a sponsor of palaces and girls.” It is on the site of Kovalchuk that the residence is located – a dacha, baths, buildings for entertainment and recreation.

It is noted that the main house is quite modest by Putin’s standards, but it is very carefully hidden. Previously, there were no pictures of him on the network, but FBK published the pictures. We are talking about a mansion on 4 floors with an area of 3500 square meters.

It is said to be Putin’s personal spa, where he receives the most thorough care. There is also a 25-meter swimming pool.

Investigators found mention of the residence in the documents of Yanukovych’s security guard. According to them, Putin received Yanukovych at Valdai during the Euromaidan period. The presidents were then entertained by artists Elena Vaenga and Oleg Gazmanov.

Earlier, FBK showed Putin’s huge palace near Gelendzhik.

Putin’s Palace “: what is known about Navalny’s investigation

  • On January 19, the Anti-Corruption Foundation of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny (FBK) published an investigation into the large-scale palace of President Vladimir Putin near Gelendzhik.
  • FBK claims that the 68-hectare residence of the President of Russia at Cape Idokopas was built in 2010 and costs about a billion dollars. On its territory there is an underground ice palace, a church, an 80-meter bridge “to approach the teahouse”, a tunnel to descend from the palace to the sea.
  • According to FBK, the construction of the palace was sponsored at the expense of an offshore company, where businessmen close to Putin “donated” money.
  • Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov called the film about Putin’s residence “nonsense” and Navalny called “a swindler”, urging Russians not to support him with money.
  • As it became known, in a few days Navalny’s film scored 50 million views on YouTube. Some phrases from the detailed plans of the residence puzzled netizens and became memes (“aquadiskoteka”, “mud warehouse”).
