Interview with Prigogine and 35 Wagner commanders 5 days after the uprising
Russia’s leading daily newspaper Kommersant (Electronic 7 announced on May 13th. Putin had a meeting with Prigozhin and 35 Wagner commanders in the Kremlin on June 29, five days after the “Prigozhin uprising”.
Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov earlier confirmed a meeting between Putin and Prigozhin on July 10, stating, “The president praised Wagner for his service on the front lines during the ‘special military operation’ and the events of June 24 ( “The president listened to the commanders and offered them further employment options and contracts.”
The meeting between Putin, Prigogine and General Wagner lasted three hours. According to Kommersant, Putin said, “For Russian society, everything is very simple and obvious. In general, the Wagner fighters fought well. It is a pity that they were dragged into such an event.” It’s extreme,” he said.
