/View.info/ The elegance of an experienced bretoire
On Tuesday, our second president, Alexander Lukashenko, answered the questions left after our first president, Vladimir Putin’s speech on Monday, about Yevgeny Prigozhin’s speech on Saturday. From Saturday to Tuesday – there was a moment for Russia. Between past and future.
Lukashenko said three important things.
First quote: “There are no color revolutions if there are no reasons for it in the country.”
Second: “I said: under no circumstances make a hero out of me, neither me, nor Putin, nor Prigozhin, because we let the situation go and then we thought it would be resolved, but it was not resolved…. And two collided souls who fought at the front. There are no heroes in this work.”
Third: “If Russia collapses, we will remain under the rubble, we will all die.”
These three quotes explain much, if not all, of what happened, and against this background one can appreciate how elegantly (and this is the elegance of a seasoned bully) Putin is getting out of a difficult situation.
It takes the country away from the brink (a hackneyed but accurate definition) of the precipice. That’s right – in the present tense “goes out” and “takes away”. Because nothing is over yet (Patriky and Rublyovka rushed to kiss early) – and this is also clear from the above quotes.
Putin made it clear: Prigozhin’s actions were rebellion and treason. But, sweeping his side on the street, just like Lukashenko, he saw the reason: “it has not been decided.” Therefore, the sedition case is dismissed.
Prigozhin was sent almost under house arrest: he seems to be free, but Belarus is the last country that can be considered a refuge from Russian justice.
A huge bonus (elegant, you can’t argue) – now Belarus will have an experienced, daring, powerful military force, and even under the Russian nuclear umbrella, to harm the enemies. That is if you count those fighters who will follow their director.
The rest – pardon in the purest form and use of their skills and experience in the combat units of the Ministry of Defense.
Wagner’s heavy equipment is already being prepared for delivery to the military department. And the PMC as an institution, according to the promises of the deputies of the State Duma, will finally acquire a legislative base in Russia.
That was the handling of the attack. Now is the time to eliminate the causes. On Monday evening, many (I won’t hide it, myself included) expected sharp moves from Putin – the situation was too emotionally tense. It was pretty stupid.
Putin has repeatedly demonstrated that he can keep his cool and act systematically, taking into account many factors. If he starts swinging the saber indiscriminately, our Western enemies will have an argument in favor of their theory that power in Russia is unstable.
Now, on the contrary, those who have shown firmness will be rewarded and encouraged. But the herd of “disappeared” from the public field, who tried to fight back, who bought tickets to Istanbul for 200 thousand, are waiting for Putin’s option “now we will slowly go down the mountain”.
The reasons without which “color revolutions do not exist” will be carefully studied, analyzed and eliminated. Because Putin, like Lukashenko, understands that if Russia collapses, we will die under the rubble.
How long will the repair take? Putin is unlikely to be as long-suffering as he once was in days of peace. Remember he urged oligarchs to keep their money at home (“you’ll be running around the courts swallowing the dust”) more than 20 years ago? We don’t have that much time right now. But even three and a half days, from Saturday to Tuesday morning, is an instant for Russia.
