Russian President Vladimir Put in make gruesome maneuvers. He signed a law requiring prisoners to join the war in Ukraine.

Reported CNNOn Monday (11/7/2022), Putin signed a law (UU) requiring any detainee with the status of a Russian citizen sentenced to prison for serious crimes to be called up for military service related to mobilization in Ukraine.

The law applies to Russian citizens whose sentence has not been abolished or who have been sentenced to extraordinary crimes such as murder, robbery, theft, drug trafficking and other serious crimes.

The new rules signed by Putin make it possible to mobilize hundreds of thousands of people who have been sentenced to probation or recently released from prison, who had previously been barred from joining the army.

The group of detainees who are excluded from the law are those convicted of sexual offenses against minors, cases of state treason, cases of espionage or terrorism.

Prisoners convicted of attempted murder of government officials, hijacking of aircraft, extremist activity and illegal handling of nuclear and radioactive materials are also excluded.

Put in, on Friday (4/11), said the Kremlin had mobilized another 18,000 troops. That figure surpasses the goal of 300,000 soldiers to fight in Ukraine from Russia’s general male population.

The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that the partial military mobilization, which included the sending of subpoenas, had been halted after the Moscow authorities declared that the target of recruiting 300,000 people had been met.

However, the partial military mobilization order ordered by Putin will only expire when Putin signs the order to stop the mobilization in an official decree. Before it’s done, Put in right to recruit more people to enlist in military service in the future.

The famous head of Wagner’s Russian army, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has summoned inmates from Russian prisons to join groups of mercenaries in fighting in Ukraine.

The amendments to the law that Putin signed have nothing to do with the alleged recruitment of Wagner. The law applies only to inmates who have been sentenced to parole or released from prison.

These people usually have to be under the supervision of the authorities for 8-10 years until their sentences are overturned. They must not leave their residence and must comply with the various applicable restrictions.
