Russian President Vladimir Putin denied the allegations behind the poisoning of anti-government activist Alexey Navalni as “manipulation”.

According to the British Guardian on the 17th (local time), he said at a national TV press conference, “Who needs to poison him?”

President Putin’s remarks came after the British online exploration media Bellingcat previously reported that the Russian Federal Security Agency (FSB) was involved in the poisoning of Navalni.

Bellingcat said it was confirmed that eight FSB agents followed him until Navalni was poisoned by tracking mobile phones and other personal information.

President Putin laughed off a report like this and said, “Did we not know where the FSB agents are being tracked?” Said.

President Putin stressed that the US government is behind the suspicion and that “the US State Department and US intelligence agencies are genuine novelists, and they certainly did this investigation under their direction.

Navalni, one of Putin’s biggest opponents, collapsed after showing symptoms of poisoning on a plane heading for Moscow from Tomsk, Siberia on August 20th. After that, he was admitted to a Siberian hospital and recovered after being transferred to Germany.

The German government estimates that Navalni is addicted to the Russian nerve agent Nobichok. The German government said it had also confirmed that the poison that poisoned Navalni was Nobichok in Swedish and French laboratories.
