“Russia is open to constructive partnership with all countries without exception. We will not isolate ourselves from anyone, we have no prejudice and even more hostile intentions towards anyone, and we expect partners to adhere to the principles of equality and mutual respect in relations with mutual consideration of interests,” the president said and recalled that this is the approach, laid down in the new Concept of Russia’s foreign policy.
The foreign policy course will be dictated by the priorities of internal development and the responsibility for maintaining stability and security at the global and regional level, Putin continued.
He noted that Russia will remain one of the sovereign and authoritative centers in the world.
In his speech, the Russian leader gave a brief assessment of bilateral relations with each of the 17 countries whose ambassadors participated in the ceremony.
Addressing US Ambassador Lynn Tracy, the president pointed out that Washington’s support for color revolutions, including in Ukraine, has led to the current crisis.
He noted that Moscow has always stood for the principles of equality, respect for the sovereignty and interests of others, and non-interference in internal affairs. But today the relations between Russia and the USA are in a deep crisis.
Speaking about cooperation with Denmark, the Russian leader recalled that the two countries have always been historically close, but today “the Baltic Sea is restless.” The president expressed hope that Copenhagen will support Moscow’s proposal to create an international commission to investigate the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream.
Putin emphasized the importance of the work of diplomats and expressed hope that their work in Russia will be aimed at solving existing problems.
