MOSCOW – President Vladimir Putin has increased the threat of nuclear attack against countries NATO which he considers interfering in Russian war in Ukraine . This dreadful threat could be a signal of impending rupture World War III .

In a speech to politicians in the Russian Parliament on Wednesday, Putin said Moscow’s response would be lightning fast if any country intervened in what he called Russia’s “special operations” in Ukraine.

“We have all the tools for this, which no one else can boast about,” he said, referring to the also hypersonic RS-28 Sarmat or Satan II intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) — weapons that can each carry 15 nuclear warheads. The weapon has been successfully tested recently.

“We’re not going to brag about it, we’re going to use it, if needed. And I want everyone to know that,” he said. “All decisions on this matter have been taken.”

Continuing his speech in St Petersburg, the Russian leader said Western efforts to strangle Russia economically through sanctions had failed, claiming that his troops in Ukraine had stopped what he called “the real danger of a major conflict imminent in our region”.

He said the West wanted to use Ukraine as a platform to attack Russia through the Crimean peninsula, which joined Russia in 2014 and the eastern Donbass region controlled by pro-Moscow separatists.

Putin’s dire threat came hours after Russian energy giant Gazprom cut off gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria, prompting widespread condemnation from Western countries.

The leaders of Poland and Bulgaria have accused Russia of using natural gas to blackmail their countries. The European Union echoed those comments and plans to hold an emergency meeting.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow attacks could be permitted against military targets of NATO member states.

“Do we understand correctly that in order to disrupt the logistics of military supplies, Russia can attack military targets on the territory of NATO countries that supply weapons to the Kiev regime?” he said.

“After all, this directly caused death and bloodshed on Ukrainian territory. As far as I understand, Britain is one of those countries,” he said, as quoted from The MirrorThursday (28/4/2022).

Earlier, on Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the risk of nuclear war is now considerable as Western countries continue to supply Ukrainian forces with weapons.
