/ world today news/ Turkey shot down the Russian military plane to protect the Islamic State’s oil trade, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
“Russia has every reason to believe that the Russian Su-24 was shot down to ensure the supply of illegal oil from Syria to Turkey,” Putin said, adding that he continued to fund terrorists in Syria.
“We are now receiving additional data that confirms that from oil fields controlled by IS, this oil is entering Turkey on an industrial scale,” he said. According to him, the oil is transported to the ports, from where it is loaded onto tankers. “The protection of the (Syrian) Turkmen is only a pretext,” Putin is convinced.
“All of us, and I personally, are very sorry, because I personally did too much to build these relations (with Turkey) over a long period of time. But there are problems that arose a long time ago and which we tried to solve in dialogue with our Turkish partners”, he also emphasized. /TASS
