MOSCOW, COMPASS.com – Russia is ready to negotiate with all parties involved war in Ukrainebut Kiev and its Western backers have refused to enter into talks.
It was said by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview published on Sunday (25/12/2022)
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24 sparked Europe’s deadliest conflict since World War II and the biggest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.

So far there have been no clear signs that the war is ending.
The Kremlin says it will fight until all of its objectives are met, while Kiev says it won’t rest until every Russian soldier is expelled from all of its territory, including Crimea which Russia annexed in 2014.
“We are ready to negotiate with all parties involved on an acceptable solution, but it depends on them. We are not the party that refuses to negotiate, they refuse,” Putin told state television Rossiya 1 in the interview, quoted by Reuters.
Earlier, CIA Director William Burns said in an interview published this month that while most conflicts end in negotiations, the CIA’s assessment is that Russia has not taken seriously the actual negotiations to end the war.

Meanwhile, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Putin needed to come back to reality and admit that Russia did not want any negotiations.
“Russia single-handedly attacked Ukraine and killed its citizens,” Mykhailo Podolyak said on Twitter.
“Russia doesn’t want negotiations, but is trying to avoid accountability,” he explained.
