“It would be a mistake to suggest that turbulent times of change can be waited for and things will return to normal; that everything will be as it is. It won’t be,” Putin said in a speech at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday (17/6/2022).
“The changes that the world is experiencing today are fundamental, radical and irreversible,” Putin continued Russia Today.

“However, the ruling elites in some Western countries refuse to pay attention to these obvious changes and choose to cling to the shadows of the past.”
“For example, they believe that Western dominance in global politics and the economy is a constant and enduring value,” Putin said. “But nothing lasts forever.”
