Russian President Vladimir Putin suffers from many health problems, including cancer, and his health is deteriorating. This is clear from statements in the Russian Telegram channel General SVR, writes the Daily Express.
In the Telegram channel, users claim that the 70-year-old Russian president is due for treatment in March. After the vote held in 2021, it is possible for Putin to rule for two more terms, meaning he could remain in power until the age of 84.
Over the years, the Russian president’s health has given rise to much speculation and claims that he has Parkinson’s and even that he is traveling with a doctor for thyroid cancer.
However, Putin has always kept his health and family life a secret. This is explained by former Russian MP Ilya Ponomarev, who currently lives in exile in Ukraine.
Ponomarev also believes that the idea that Putin will step down is absurd.
Nate Sibley, an expert on Russian corruption in Washington, also thinks that Putin will most likely die of either old age or being shot in the back.
Sibley also says that what we can be sure of is that, unlike many wealthy Russians, Putin does not plan to retire quietly to a mansion on the French Riviera with his lovers.
Despite earning just £120,000 a year and living in an 800 square meter flat, according to his 2020 financial statement, Putin is one of the richest people in the world. It has assets worth up to £170 billion.
