Putin intends to sign an agreement with Lukashenka and Yanukovych – World – tsn.ua

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that during his visit to Belarus, Putin is likely to persuade Lukashenka to sign a tripartite agreement, which could include the fugitive president Yanukovych.

In addition, according to the expert, the threat of an offensive from Belarus still exists. And Putin, in turn, will try to “squeeze” Lukashenka to open another front of the war in Ukraine.

About this Zhdanov said on the air of Freedom TV channel.

“There is a real threat. It cannot be written off. Understanding the general paradigm in which Lukashenka operates, it is clear to the naked eye that he is acting according to the principle “I am not ready, but I am preparing.” He is taking measures to prepare his army for war, therefore we need to carefully monitor his future behavior – what he will do with the reservists: after the exercises they will be sent home or to the training ground to undergo combat coordination and prepare for their intended use, ”the expert says.

Zhdanov is convinced that during the meeting between Putin and Lukashenka the President of the Russian Federation will try to “squeeze” self-proclaimed Belarusian leader, so that he nevertheless entered the war and gave the order for the armed forces of Belarus to advance. In addition, a new issue for discussion appeared – Belarus also refused to pay Russia for energy in rubles.

“I think that his (Lukashenko’s) cunning and experience should be enough. For 20 years he has been leading Putin by the nose and for 20 years he has been creating a common state with Putin. We have already lost count of how many joint programs have been signed to integrate Belarus into Russia. So far, an agreement on a “union state” has not been signed. By the way, this option is also being considered. Probably, Putin will persuade Lukashenka to sign some kind of trilateral agreement. Yanukovych may also be drawn into it,” the expert said.

Recall that the Belarusian military are digging trenches near the borders with Ukraine and some EU countries, as well as equipping fortifications.
