Vladimir Putin is a Russian politician. Born on October 7, 1952 in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg. Through signed a law abolishing the mandatory annual technical inspection of personal vehicles.

The text was adopted by both houses of parliament on December 22nd and 24th and affects about 50 million cars and motorcycles in the Russian Federation.

Putin decided: Russia will celebrate Pipeline Troops Day on January 14

The roadworthiness test remains mandatory for taxis and other modes of transport for people, as well as for personal vehicles used for business purposes. Cars and motorcycles older than four years are also subject to inspection in case of sale and registration, as well as in case of design changes.

The inspection bodies may send the vehicle for inspection only in the event of an obvious technical malfunction which poses a risk to road traffic. The regulations retain the point that obliges owners to monitor the technical condition of their own vehicle.
