According to journalists, Putin has been spending most of his time in isolation in a specially built “clean zone” in a residence near Moscow in Novo-Ogaryovo for 2 years now. Together with Putin without the right to leave the “zone” after work are his closest henchmen: security, adjutants, protocol officers and a personal operator. Other service personnel, such as the pilots of Putin’s plane, are kept in quarantine before starting work.
It is noteworthy that the same office was built in Putin’s Sochi residence as in the “clean zone” in Novo-Ogaryovo in order to hide the true location of the head of the Russian Federation.
Another means of protecting the leader of the Russian Federation from the virus was the “disinfection tunnel” – a special corridor in Novo-Ogaryovo, which treats everyone who passes through it with a special solution. This tunnel was installed in the summer of 2020, when the wave of the pandemic began to subside. At that time, Putin began to hold personal meetings.
In June 2020, before the Victory Parade, which was then postponed due to the pandemic, about 80 World War II veterans were forced to spend 2 weeks in quarantine. After that, they were put to watch the parade in the company of Putin.
In April 2021, the Russian leader assured that he had twice been vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine (still not approved by the World Health Organization). Despite this, Putin continued to live in isolation and force all visitors to undergo quarantine. This also applied to Putin’s closest associates. So, in February 2022, the chairman of the board of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, celebrated his 60th birthday alone in quarantine. And all for the sake of meeting with Putin, who awarded Miller with a state award.
It is noteworthy that the protection of the President of the Russian Federation forbade all those in quarantine to carry alcohol, coffee and piercing objects in order not to provoke suicidal thoughts in people.
As previously reported FocusFrench President Emmanuel Macron refused to take the Russian test for COVID-19 upon arrival in Moscow on February 7, for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. That is why the leader of France was kept at a great distance from the head of the Kremlin during the negotiations.
Recall that during the meeting on February 7, Vladimir Putin forced Emmanuel Macron not only to sit at a respectful distance from him, but also 5 hours to listen to a monologue about how the West deceived Russia last 30 years.
