The meeting took place on Friday, but the Kremlin only revealed it on Saturday (12/17/2022).
“Throughout Friday, the president worked at the joint headquarters of military branches involved in special military operations,” the Kremlin’s announcement read. Russia Today.
The announcement did not provide details on where the bout took place.

Putin heard reports on the work of the military headquarters and the progress of the military campaign in Ukraine. The Russian leader also held joint conferences and separate meetings with commanders.
Photos released by the Kremlin show the meeting attended by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of Staff, and General Sergey Surovikin, commander of Russian forces in Ukraine.

“We will listen to commanders in each operational area and I would like to hear your suggestions regarding our actions in the short and medium term,” President Putin said.
The meeting comes after Putin warned last week that military operations in Ukraine could be a lengthy process.
