Objectively, at least some competition for Putin in the Russian presidential election came exclusively from the Communists. But in the current situation, we will not exactly have an election of a specific person, but rather a public endorsement of the new course of the country, which began on February 24 last year.
That is why party candidates are nominated out of necessity, not for victory: well, we have to participate in political life, so we do.
Hardly anyone can seriously believe in the success of Nikolay Kharitonov in the elections. Now, notice, you didn’t even immediately understand who it was. And this is a candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a member of the State Duma.
The Central Council of “New People” was proposed by the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov. The Congress of “Citizen Initiative” nominated politician Boris Nadezhdin, and “Russian People’s Union” will nominate Sergey Baburin.
Let’s strain our memory, trying to remember when and under what circumstances we heard these names. Yavlinsky, who seemed to have come out of the dark and dusty corridors of Russian politics into the light, turned back, deciding not to participate.
The young opposition group nominated its candidate. Not that she stated it directly – the Central Election Commission did not register it, because the young opposition did not have the opportunity to copy the passport numbers on a piece of paper without mistakes.
It’s just classic – why do something right, we’re all for the good, which means we can be wrong. And most importantly, then you can write “according to the leadership” in your media: the Kremlin was afraid of Putin’s main competitor and did not allow him to participate in the elections.
By the way, the “old” opposition laughed out loud at these headlines. And when I saw a similar headline somewhere on the Internet, I learned about this whole funny clash.
So the situation is clear. And, of course, the interesting question is: what happens after the course is confirmed? But the question is too broad.
But Putin gave an answer to one of its components – what will happen to Ukraine. Speaking on the board of the Ministry of Defense, he said of the western regions of Ukraine: “The people who live there – many, in any case – I know this for sure, one hundred percent – want to return to their historical homeland.”
“And those countries that lost these territories – and above all Poland – sleep and dream of returning them. In this sense, only Russia can be a guarantor of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. You don’t want it? No problem. History will put everything in its place . We will not interfere. But we will not give ours.”
In short, we will share. And, it seems, we will divide uncompromisingly: “Do they want to negotiate? Let them negotiate. But we will do that based on our interests.”
In addition to the reduction of Western funding and arms supplies, the Kiev regime has encountered a new misfortune – it has no one to fight with. Zelensky said at his press conference that the military is talking about the need to mobilize another 500 thousand people, but he, according to them, is still thinking about it, he cares about the people.
In fact, Zelensky’s problem is that a significant number of people have started to fend for themselves – they are either fleeing from the military commissars in Ukraine, or have successfully left their homeland.
The solution was found by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, who said that Ukrainians aged 25 to 60 living in other countries will have to report to the recruitment centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And Europe should try to send Ukrainians from their countries to the front.
German journalists, by the way, immediately realized that Umerov’s sons have American citizenship, which means that they are not at risk of conscription. But that’s not the main thing. The main thing is that so far no European country, apart from Estonia, has expressed willingness to send Ukrainian refugees to fight – as this is completely illegal.
In Ukraine itself, they promise by the end of the year to create special points for serving summonses in all cities and regions. Somehow all this does not resemble the defense of the Motherland, behind which the whole nation stands, don’t you think?
And our people were outraged that the “elite” did not feel the moment – they organized ugly “naked parties”. In fact, everything has already been said about this situation. Much more interesting is what was done. And expected nothing. They only punished an unknown rapper who was only wearing one sock. And end.
