Russian President Vladimir Putin drove a Mercedes over the reconstructed section of the Crimean Bridge. Footage of the event was broadcast on Russian state television.
Barely two months after the explosion, Putin crossed the bridge accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnulin, asking him questions about the attack. “We are driving on the right side, and the left side, as far as I understand, is still under repair,” says the Russian president.
According to state television, he even walked the bridge to inspect the damaged sections.
